Let’s dance—where everything is poetic and fleeting, where nothing can be held, and where nothing is truly still, even in “stillness.”

Hour 1: Continuous Flow & Somatic Imagination

Through music and guided movement prompts, we step into our imaginations, our own experience and research that allows for new movement qualities to arise. In the first hour, we move continuously supported by guided prompts and music. We invite our whole bodies into the dance— layering and shifting qualities and places of attention, tracing movement from fingertips and toes all the way into the spine, melting into the floor and growing into expansive space. Leaving nothing out, we move alongside all that is here and changing.

This hour is an invitation to warm up, build skills, connect, and move within the support of community—a dance that simply couldn’t happen alone.

Hour 2: Between Bodies

During the second hour, we turn toward one another, allowing our movement to be informed by contact, whether with the floor, walls, or fellow dancers. As bodies meet the world, we remember what our bodies know of connection and we become something else.

Participants are welcome to join for just the first hour or remain for the complete two-hour practice.

All levels of experience are warmly welcomed.
